Police today arrested a drug peddlers and seized contraband substance from his possession at Athwajan.
“One person identified as Mohsin Bashir Bhat ofAthwajan was arrested for drug supply offences and has been taken to PoliceStation Ram Munshi Bagh where he remains in custody. Officers at the checkpoint have seized some quantity of heroin from hispossession. In this regard, a case FIR No 30/2019 under relevant sections oflaw has been registered in Police Station Ram Munshi Bagh and investigation hasbeen taken up.
Community members are requested to come forward with anyinformation regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons foundindulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law,” police spokespersonsaid in a statement.
