The directorate of school education Kashmir (DSEK) has modified its previous order issued regarding the timing of schools within the Municipal limits of Srinagar city.
As per the new order, the schools within Srinagar Municipallimits will continue to function from 9am to 3pm. “The order shall beadhered to strictly by all concerned institutions,” reads the DSEK order.
Earlier, the DSEK had fixed the school timing from 8.30 amto 2.30 pm for schools within Srinagar Municipal limits. The order which came intoeffect today evoked public outcry forcing the department to revise the schooltiming.
