Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) vice- president G N Monga on Saturday alleged that Election Commission of India (ECI) is not acting in a “free and fair manner” in dealing with complaints of violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) by the BJP.
Monga in a statement said, “The ECI is duty bound to take aserious note of the complaints about MCC violation and punish the guiltyaccording to the law. But unfortunately, not only in J&K, the ECI has beencoming to the rescue of the BJP across the country.,” Monga alleged.
“When it comes to issues of the BJP, the ECI is absolutelyon the straight line, when it comes to the opposition’s issues, it iscompletely biased,” he alleged.
