‘Mufti cultivating RSS agenda for power’
Reminding Prime Minister Narendra Modi that Kashmir issue is a political one and can’t be addressed by economic packages and financial assistance, Working President National Conference and former CM Omar Abdullah today said that initiation of dialogue to address this complex problem is the need of the hour.
Expressing gratitude to the State High Court for ordering economic package for the flood hit Jammu & Kashmir, Omar Abdullah said that this decision has awakened the Center from the slumber.
Addressing party workers at Beerwah in Budgam district, Omar said that BJP-led Union Government has been compelled by the High Court orders to announce financial support to the flood hit state and in order to oblige the court, Prime Minister is visiting Srinagar. He, however, said that while economic packages are the right of the people of the state, and the Centre should always come forward to fulfil the needs of people, but these have neither in the past changed the political status of ‘K’ issue nor would do it at present or in the future.
“I told this fact to the former Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson Mrs Sonia Gandhi and various Central leaders at a mammoth public gathering at Anantnag and repeated the same in the State Assembly and various national forums,” he said and stressed on dealing with Kashmir issue politically and through the process of sustained dialogue both at internal and external levels. He said National Conference whether in government or outside would continue to highlight this importance and work for it.
Castigating PDP and its Patron Mufti Mohammad Syed for deceiving the public of J&K during the electioneering for State Assembly polls, Omar Abdullah said that the deceitful strategy by this party and its leadership to hide its nexus between RSS has now been exposed by Mufti himself. He said it is astonishing that Mufti Syed and Mehbooba Mufti are giving certificate of secular credential to Modi about whom entire country is speculative and are raising voices for high-handedness of BJP and its mentor RSS activities to put secular India in the flames of communal frenzy.
Omar Abdullah said that the PDP’s sell out for Chief Minister’s Chair and its nexus with BJP and RSS to facilitate their entry in the State and help them cultivate their agenda is now open secret made public by Mufti Syed himself. He said that National Conference will take all measures to politically fight communal elements and their agents in the state to create wedge between different regions and various sections of the society.
“Where has gone your slogan of Goli se nahi boli se and battle of ideas”, he asked Mufti Mohammad Syed, taking PDP and its leadership to task for forgetting its all promises for double currency, self rule, revocation of AFSPA, return of power projects. He said Mufti Syed has shifted the power center from the State to Nagpur and receives dictates from there to run the government.
“Mufti has itself revealed to Times of India that Modi receives feedback on Kashmir from RSS and that is why he is coming to the Srinagar which itself indicates that Mufti’s report card is being signed by RSS,” he said and described it highly dangerous for the state’s autonomy and powers.
Earlier, Omar Abdullah, who is also MLA Beerwah, addressed students and parents at the annual function of a school at Sugan, Khag.
