EJAC urges Govt to defer JKPaySys implementation

The Employees Joint Action Committee on Monday expressed concern over the the government’s decision to implement JKPaySys in all treasuries.

In astatement, senior trade union leader and President EJAC, Fayaz Ahmad Shabnamsaid it was almost impossible to implement the order productively as J&Kwas still without 4G internet.

   

He said to upload the dataof the employees was not possible at the 2G or slow speed internet. “Amid theongoing pandemic, there is a shortage of employees in the departments whichwill further interrupt the successful implementation of this order,” he said.

Heurged the government to defer the order for now, so that the employees wouldnot face any issues while urging the authorities to release pending wages ofall the workers who were risking their lives in these critical times.

Shabnam also highlightedimportance of 4G internet service for students, employees and also commonpublic and urged the government to restore the service to ensure smoothfunctioning of the online classes for the students.

Shabnam reiterated hisappeal to the authorities to evacuate stranded Kashmiris.
