Elaborate arrangements put in place to prevent bogus voting: Officials

The Srinagar district election authorities have put in place elaborate arrangements across the district to prevent bogus voting in polling for Lok Sabha elections to Srinagar PC tomorrow.

The multilayered arrangements include flying squads,micro-observers and videographers besides zonal and sector magistrates put inplace across the district to ensure no attempts at bogus voting are allowed tooccur.

   

District Election Officer Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary saidensuring complete fairness in polling forms a major focus of arrangements putin place for elections adding that dedicated squads have been put in place inall constituencies across the district.

Instances or complaints of bogus voting can be reported tosquad heads for 18-Hazratbal segment at 9419010054, 19-Zadibal segment at9419019289, 20-Eidgah segment at 9622449422, 21-Khanyar segment at 9797212195,22-Habba Kadal segment at 9419016652, 23-Amira Kadal segment at 9419434432,24-Sonwar segment at 9419068011 and 25-Batamaloo segment at 7006974031.

Dr Shahid has urged the general public to report complaintsof bogus voting to designated squad heads assuring of immediate and strictestaction.
