The Non-Gazetted Employees’ Union, SKIMS Medical College & Hospital, Bemina has welcomed initiation of development works at the hospital.
At a meeting held here, the union hailed Principal Dr Riyaz Untoo for initiating various developmental projects at the hospital.
The meeting was presided over by union president Gayas Ud Din Teli. The members hailed Dr Untoo for starting long-pending development projects at the hospital. They also hailed Dr Untoo on behalf of the Security Cadre and others “for being supportive to the staff and addressing their problems.” Teli in a statement said that under Dr Untoo’s “able leadership” many progressive steps have been taken to uplift this Institution.
According to Teli, the members at the meeting hailed the Principal for ensuring that the patient-care remained the outmost priority at the institution.
“They also hailed the Principal for ensuring due elevations of the employees on the basis of their experience and qualification,” the statement said.
“The security cadre like other service cadres at the institution was deprived of promotion for a long time. But with the efforts of the Principal, this issue has been addressed,” the statement said, adding that it is for the first time that the genuine and legitimate demands of the employees have been addressed.
