Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Rohit Kansal convened a high level meeting of officers here today to assess the situation arising due to recent floods in health institutions in the Valley.
Kansal reviewed the availability of various facilities including diagnostic facilities like MRI, USG, X-Ray, ECO, availability of medicines in the Valley health Institutions and directed the concerned to ensure adequate heating arrangements in all hospitals.
He was informed that the diagnostic facilities were restored in all health institutions of the Valley which suffered severe damage during September floods.
The heads of various health institutions informed Kansal about problems faced by them in delivering quality health care facility to the people.
He assured them that their problems would be taken up with concerned quarters for timely redressal. Later, Kansal along with Deputy Commissioner Srinagar visited various health centres including SMHS to have firsthand account of the facilities being provided to patients.
