The district administration here Wednesday distributed essential commodities to needy people amid the ongoing lockdown to prevent spread of coronavirus infection. Among the items distributed among the families of the Old Town included rice and flour and other essentials.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner GN Ittoo said the move was taken to avoid any kind of inconvenience to the people that may emerge due to shortage of essential commodities. The face masks were also distributed among the families to mitigate risk of the infection.
