Families of 3 COVID-19 cases quarantined in Hajin

Authorities have sent families of three persons who tested positive for COVID-19 in quarantine in Hajin area of this district on Saturday.

Medical Superintendent, CHC Hajin, Dr Nasir Ahmad confirmedthe families have been quarantined at a government-run facility.

   

The district administration has issued a fresh advisoryasking people to refrain from moving out of their houses.

Meanwhile, panic gripped several areas of Hajin after fourpersons tested positive for COVID-19.

The authorities have imposed strict restrictions to ensurepeople stay indoors. As a precautionary measure the government has sealedentire area and sent the families of the positive cases to quarantine centre.

An official said the infected persons had participated in areligious congregation, along with a person from Srinagar, who died lastThursday.

Police have barricaded the area and closed the entry andexit points.

Block Medical Officer CHC Hajin, Dr Aijaz Ahmad said theyhave sent teams to examine the area and sanitization drive was on.

“If we found any person having any we will immediately takenecessary action,” he said.
