National Conference (NC) president Dr. Farooq Abdullah filed his nomination papers for the upcoming Lok Sabha 2019 Elections at the DC office in Srinagar on Monday.
Abdullah, who was accompanied by vice president NC OmarAbdullah and general secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, filed papers forSrinagar-Budgam parliamentary seat.
Polling for the seat will be held on April 18.
NC and Congress have forged an alliance for the upcoming LokSabha election. While Congress has not fielded any candidate from Srinagar, NChas said there will be “friendly” contest in Jammu.
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has fielded Aga Mohsin fromSrinagar constituency.
