Farooq Abdullah inaugurates USG facility at Faqir Gujri

Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Friday provided an Ultra Sono Graphy machine worth Rs 18 lakh to Public Health Center facility at Faqir Gujri, Srinagar.

Party president while inaugurating the facility at thepublic health center in the Gujjar Hamlet of Faqir Gujjiri said the machinewill give impetus to the treatment being provided at hospital, improving howpatients are diagnosed and treated. “It has been a long pending demand of thelocal population to have an USG at the local PHC that mostly caters to theGujjar population residing mostly on the hilly tracks and arduous terrain. I amhopeful that the machine will help in the early diagnosis of variousailments.  Now it is the duty of thehospital management to upkeep the machine so that locals continue to benefitfrom it. It is surely a very important addition to the hospital that willbenefit scores of families who otherwise had to go to various city hospitalslocated miles away. The measure will help the poor who find it heavy on theirpockets to get the ultra sound done at various private clinics around the maincity.”

   

Party Additional General Secretary Sheikh Mustufa Kamalwhile addressing the gathering on the occasion said, “Our party has alwaysgiven special attention to Gujjar community by channelizing the resources tostimulate growth amongst the vulnerable tribal community including Gujjars,”

Kamal while addressing the people said that indomitableGujjar community of the state was dealt with disdain by the former BJP-PDPGovernment.

Among others advisor to party president Mushtaq Guroo,Principal GMC Srinagar Dr Kaiser, YNC provincial vice president Ahsan Pardesi,and block president Bashir Ahmad Ganai were also present on the occasion.
