Farooq, Omar condole demise of Hafizullah Dar, Shahbaz Rajourvi

National Conference President Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah Saturday expressed grief over the demise of (Retd) DIG Hafizullah Dar, who breathed his last at his Rajbagh residence.

A statement of NC said that in their condolence message, Farooq and Omar expressed unison with the bereaved family members and prayed for the eternal repose to the departed soul in the highest echelons of Jannat.

   

The statement said that Farooq also called the bereaved family over phone and expressed his sympathies with them on their inconsolable loss.

It said that while recalling his dedication and dutifulness, he said that Dar was an epitome of piousness, grace and humility.

The NC statement said that NC Provincial President, Kashmir, NasirAslamWani visited the residence of Dar to share the grief of the family on their bereavement and offered Fateh for the deceased.

It said that Farooq and Omar also expressed grief over the demise of noted poet, scholar and language activist ShahbazRajourvi.

The statement said that in their condolence message, the duo paid rich tribute to the deceased scholar and recalled the continuous struggle of Shahbaz for preservation and promotion of Kashmiri language in PirPanchal region.

The NC statement quoted the Farooq and Omar said Shahbaz was a versatile poet and writer with full command on Kashmiri and other regional languages.

It said that they prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul and a place in the highest echelons of Jannat.

The statement said that NC leaders Muhammad Shafi (Uri), ShriefuddinShariq, Muhammad Yusuf Taing, SajadShaheen and Aijaz Jan also condoled the demise of Shabaz and prayed for peace to his soul and strength to the bereaved family members, associates and admirers.
