Fearing protests, authorities suspend train services between Srinagar and Banihal

“On 10-03-2016 train service will ply between Srinagar & Baramulla only and will remain suspended between Srinagar Banihal due to law and order problem,” said a railway official.

Fearing protests against the killing of two LeT militants in Pulwama district of south Kashmir, authorities on Thursday suspended the train services between Srinagar and Banihal.

“On 10-03-2016 train service will ply between Srinagar & Baramulla only and will remain suspended between Srinagar Banihal due to law and order problem,” said a railway official.

Two LeT militants, including NIA’s most wanted man Abu Okasha, died in a gunfight with forces in a plant nursery near Wandakhpora village of Pulwama district.
