‘Fever clinics’ coming up soon

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole on Monday visited round-the-clock control rooms at NHM, old secretariat here to inspect preparedness and overall arrangements in place.

He was informed that thecontrol rooms have all the requisite facilities including contact tracing,dedicated four land lines for 24×7 helpline, patients counselling and settingup institutional quarantine facilities at various locations.

   

Besides, having aneffective mechanism in place, for regular monitoring and proper surveillance ofhome quarantine at all wards and mohalls. For extensive testing the controlrooms have mobile sampling facilities at district headquarters.

Besides, in view of OPDclosure in health institutions fever clinics are being set up at differentlocations in pre fab structures. These clinics will be manned by four doctorsand other staff, who were being deputed at each clinic with proper protectiongear for treatment and on-spot sampling.

The Divisional Commissioner stressed upon the officials toplay a proactive role and work in mission mode to ward off the threat posed bycoronavirus.

Later, the DivisionalCommissioner visited 24×7 control room at KPDCL office, Jehangir Chowk and tookstock of arrangements made by the authorities.

He exhorted the officialsto maintain high level of vigil and alertness and to work as a military-unit tocombat the COVID-19 infection across the Valley.

Officer on Special Duty, NHM, Owais Ahmad, OSD, KPDCL, AijazAhmad and other officers were accompanying the Divisional Commissioner.
