First Coronavirus case in Kashmir as Khanyar resident tests positive: Govt

The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday night said that a Srinagar resident, who had travelled outside the country, has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus disease.

“First positive case in Kashmir- Khanyar, Srinagar. History of foreign travel. Arrived on 16/03/2020. Put in isolation. Surveillance started in 300 meter area. Request all to cooperate. Also immediately self report any symptoms,” said the government spokesman, Rohit Kansal, in a tweet.
