Forces conduct searches in Hajin town

Government forces on Wednesday launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Khochak Mohalla of Hajin town in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district. An official said that 13RR, Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police and 45 Battalion CRPF launched the search operation after inputs about the presence of militants. He said the cordon was laid in wee hours of Wednesday and door to door searches were being conducted. The official said that youth took to streets and pelted the forces with stones while the cordon was being lifted around 7:30 am.
