Government forces on late Tuesday evening launched a cordon-and -search- operation (CASO) at a village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A police official said that a joint team of army, SOG and CRPF personnel laid a siege around the Ganie Mohalla of Tukroo village, following the inputs about the presence of militant in the area. Immediately after the siege, the forces, according to the official, began a door to door search operation.
The operation, however, was called off as no militant was found in the area.
