Government forces on Wednesday evening launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Reports said that a joint team of army’s 22 RR, special operation hroup (SOG) and CRPF conducted door-to-door searches in Thakkgund village of Sopore area of the district.
A police official said the operation was launched following “inputs about the presence of militants in the area,” news agency GNS reported.
The searches were going on when this report was being filed.
