Former ministers, legislators, others visit bereaved family

Various former ministers, ex- legislatures and retired police officers Sunday visited Mian family at Babanagri Kangan to express condolences to the family over the demise of Benazir Altaf, 28, the elder daughter of senior National Conference leader and former MLA Kangan Mian Altaf Ahmed who passed away on Friday evening.

Altaf Bukhari, ex-finance minister; Khalid Jehangir, theBJP  candidate for Srinagar parliamentaryseat; Ali Mohammad Dar and Mubarak Gul ex-MLAs of NC; Sheikh Mohammad Rafi, senior NC leader, Sheikh Ghulam Rasool exchief secretary and ex-NC MLC; Mohammad Ashraf Mir ex-PDP minister for PDD;Saif-ud-din Soz, senior Congress leader; Usman Majid  Congress ex MLA; Raja Ejaz, PC candidate for Baramulla parliamentary seat; ImranRaza Ansari and Irfan Raza Ansari, senior PC leaders and Shafaqat Watali,ex-police officer  visited Mian Altaf’sresidence to express condolence.

   

They expressed sympathy with the bereaved family and prayedfor peace to the departed soul.

Meanwhile, according to the Mian family the”Rasm-e-Chaharum” of the deceased will be observed on 23 April(Tuesday).

It may be mentioned that Benazir Altaf, 28, the elderdaughter of senior National Conference leader and former MLA Kangan, Mian AltafAhmed, passed away at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS)Srinagar on Friday evening.
