Expressing serious concern over the damages caused to Lissar Power Grid Station due to recent snowfall, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G A Mir has urged the Governor’s administration to restore the grid station without any further delay.
In a statement here Mir said that Kokernag, Veerinag and other adjoining areas without electricity since November 3.
Expressing serious concern over the problems confronting people in Veerinag, Kokernag and surrounding areas, Mir blamed that divisional administration for failing to make Lissar Grid Stations functional, saying that few inches of snow have exposed the preparedness of the government.
Mir emphasized that there was an immediate need to restore the grid station to ensure that common people as well as students do not suffer on account of electricity.
He also urged sought compensation for the orchardists in south Kashmir and elsewhere.
