Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ghulam Ahmad Mir is meeting the party councilors on Sunday to discuss the withdrawal of support to the deputy mayor, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Sheikh Imran, who joined Peoples Conference (PC).
Sheikh Imran became deputy mayor of SMC after he wassupported by Congress councilors. “I will reach Srinagar on Sunday followingwhich a meeting will be convened with the councilors to discuss the withdrawalof support to Imran,” Mir, said in a statement.
He said, “Motion of no confidence will be brought againsthim after a meeting will be held tomorrow. It is obvious when Imran has goneagainst the party, there will be no councilor of party leader who will supporthim any further.”
