National Conference leader and former Rajya Sabha member, G N Ratanpuri, Sunday resigned from the basic membership of the party.
Ratanpuri submitted his resignation letter to NC presidentDr Farooq Abdullah.
“This is to tender my resignation from Central WorkingCommittee, primary membership and any other position that I may be holding inthe J&K National Conference. Please ask the Vice President, GeneralSecretary and the two Provincial Presidents of Kashmir and Jammu to let my exitbe as quiet and dignified as my entry was,” the resignation letter read.
“I hope they will forget all the heated arguments andaltercations I had with them all through the past ten years regularly. Irealized that the only way to stop this bitterness was to quit. I expect themtoo to realise that nothing was and nothing is personal,” it adds.
