The district administration Ganderbal Monday felicitated the two meritorious girl students who secured positions in the recently-declared result of 10th class examination.
The students who were felicitated include Tabasum Gulzar who scored 500 out of 500 marks and Parveena Ayoub who scored 489 out of 500 in the 10th examination.
Interacting with the meritorious students, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal extended warm greetings to them and appreciated the role of parents and teachers for this success.
He advised the students to remain focused for their goals and double their efforts to excel in academics and other co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Iqbal also presented certificate of appreciation and mementoes among the position holders. Parveena Ayoub, coming from a financially-weaker background and living in a single-room tin shed with her siblings and parents, was also given a cheque.
