The district magistrate (DM), Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal on Tuesday appealed people to cooperate with the administration and adhere to restriction ordered to prevent spread of the coronavirus infection.
As a precautionary measure, the administration here hasalready declared Guzhama village as red zone and its surrounding villages,Batpora and Khanpora as buffer zones.
The DM stressed the officers concerned to ensure strictimposition of restrictions in the areas which have been declared red zones andbuffer zones.
Invoking prohibitory orders under section 144 of the CrPC,Disaster Management Act-2005 and Epidemic Diseases Act-1897, the DM said therewould be no inward and outward movement of any person from the village declaredred zone and people should stay in their homes to ensure complete lockdown.
