Residents of several areas of this central Kashmir district have complained about unscheduled and erratic power cuts in the ongoing holy month of Ramadan.
Several delegations from main town of Kangan, Gund, Hariporaand other villages said the power cuts have grown severe for the past one week,giving tough time to people, especially during Sehri and Iftar.
“We hardly get five to six hours of power supply during theday and that too remains erratic,” said a delegation of locals from Hirapora.”The situation has in fact worsened for the past few days.”
Another delegation of residents from Gund alleged that thePower Development Department (PDD) was still continuing with the winter powerschedule.
