Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani has expressed grave concern over the plight of political prisoners in and outside Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement here Geelani said, “Kashmiri politicalprisoners are facing immense hardships in various jails. They are beingpunished for their political beliefs.”
He said, “Kashmir is a pure political issue which can besettled according to the aspirations of the people. Military solutions neverlast long.”
He condemned the use of force against the people at JamiaMasjid Srinagar on the first Friday during the holy month of Ramadan.
