Geelani pays tributes to Zakir Musa, condemns Zahoor’s killing

Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Friday paid rich tributes to the slain commander of Ansar-ul-Ghazwatul-Hind, Zakir Musa, who was killed in a gunfight with the security forces in south Kashmir’s Tral area on Thursday.

In a statement Geelani said that “whosoever strives forimplementation of divine law in his land, with his conviction and dedicationare the real heroes and nation is indebted to hail their precious sacrifices.The best and only way to pay homage to them is to support the struggle in whateverpossible way.”

   

Geelani also condemned the killing of Zahoor Ahmad of Tahab Pulwama. ” It is a sheer political vengeance to kill the innocent relatives of the militants,” he said. A spokesman of Hurriyat (G) said that on the directions amalgam chairman, Syed Ali Geelani, a delegation comprising Molvi Bashir Irfani, Bilal Sidiqui and Yasmeen Raja visited Kulgam and Shopian to express deep condolences and solidarity with the grief stricken families of Irfan Ahmad Bhat and Yawar Ahmad Dar, who were killed in recent encounters.

MUSA STOOD FIRM FOR ISLAM: SEHRAI

Meanwhile, chairman of Tehreet-e-Hurriyat Muhammad Asharf Sehrai also paid rich tributes to Zakir Musa.  “Despite being highly educated and an engineering student, he stood for the movement.  He stood firm for Islam and never followed any sectarian ideology ,instead  pursued a mission to see the glorification of Islam in Jammu Kashmir .

Sehrai also expressed deep shock over killing of ZahoorAhmad brother of active militant Irfan Ahmad . “Killing relatives ofmilitants   and intimidating them isdeplorable,” he added.
