‘Glad to see him out’: NC welcomes Omar Abdullah’s release

Jammu and KashmirNational Conference on Tuesday welcomed the release of the party vice presidentOmar Abdullah from solitary detention of over seven months and sought releaseof all political detainees and others languishing in jails inside and outsideJ&K.  

NC president DrFarooq Abdullah while expressing happiness over the revocation of PSA detentionof party vice president Omar Abdullah said, “I am glad to see him out from thedetention, which has lasted for around eight months. Total redemption of thesituation is not possible until all political detainees and others are notreleased at once. I express my gratitude to those people, politicians,parliamentarians, who have all along have been seeking his release.”

   

Meanwhile, party’smembers of parliament Muhammad Akbar lone, Hasnain Masoodi have also welcomedthe release of Party’s vice president. Party’s additional general secretary Dr SheikhMustufa Kamal, provincial secretary Showkat Mir, spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar,District President Peer Afaq Ahmad, YNC President Salman Ali Sagar, YNC Vicepresident Ahsan Pardesi, Women’s wing  provincial President Er SabiyaQadri, Minority wing organizer J S Azad, Legal Cell functionaries welcomed hisrelease. 

They also asked forimmediate release of party general secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar who is alsodetained under PSA. The party has also demanded the release of all politicalleaders who are under house detention including provincial president NasirAslam Wani, Chowdhary Ramzaan, Mohammad Shafi Uri, A R Rather, Shameema Firdousand others.
