General Officer Commanding of Srinagar based 15 Corps, Lt Gen KJS Dhillon, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here on Thursday and briefed him about issues relating to the security situation in the Valley and along the LoC, an official spokesman said.
He said that theGovernor appreciated the Army’s sustained strong support to the civiladministration and police in maintaining normalcy in the Valley.
Meanwhile, Member of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Vijay Dhar, also called on GovernorMalik, Chairman of the Board.
Governor and Dhar , according to the spokesman, discussedprogress of various ongoing projects in the shrine area and furtherpossibilities of augmenting facilities for devotees, enroute the holy shrine ofMata Vaishno Devi.
