Government forces on Thursday afternoon launched search operation in Kachipora village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A police official said that the forces launched searches after they received “inputs about the presence of militants in the area.”
A door to door search operation has been launched to look for the militants, the official said.
He, however, added that no contact was yet established with the militants believed to be hiding in the area.
