Reacting to Governor Satya Pal Malik’s apology over ban on movement of civilian traffic on highway, AIP President Er. Rasheed has said that Governor’s statement was full of contradiction.
In a statement, Er. Rasheed said, “On one hand Governoroffers apology for the huge inconvenience caused to masses but in the samebreath Governor claims that the decision to ban traffic was taken in thenational interest. People have a right to know what purpose and nationalinterest did the ban serve except creating huge trouble to common masses andgiving them a sense that they are second class citizens.””It is unfortunate that putting Kashmiris introuble one way or the other has become the easiest definition of nationalism.The fact is that New Delhi is using J&K like an experimental laboratory andis doing all mischiefs just to find new ways to suppress voice of Kashmiris,”Rasheed said.
