Govt bans deputing officers outside JK

The government on Thursday asked its departments not to depute any officer, official for training outside J&K and country without prior approval of the general administration department (GAD).

“It has been observed that some departments depute/nominate officers outside the state/country for training program at their own level without consultation/approval of the general administration department which is tantamount to violation of circular instructions and making concerned officers liable for action,” reads a circular issued by GAD.

   

The department also directed all  administrative secretaries to ensure that the proposals involving “deputation/visit of officers for undergoing training programs/other official work outside the state/country” are submitted to it for obtaining “prior approval of the competent authority and issuance of orders by the GAD”.

Meanwhile, the government on Thursday ordered that M Raju, commissioner, commercial taxes, J&K, shall hold charge of the post of excise commissioner, J&K, in addition to his own duties, as an interim measure, till further orders. Vishesh Paul Mahajan, deputy excise commissioner, Toll Post, Lakhanpur, has been transferred and posted as officer on special duty with Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly, with immediate effect.
