While reacting over the protests held by college students against the discrepanies in their results, the education minister Syed Altaf Bukhari on Monday said the government will take action against the officials involved in "creating this mess."

Talking to Greater Kashmir, Bukhari said he will convene a meeting regarding the issue and action will be taken against the erring officials.

"I have to speak on education grants tomorrow but next day I will convene a meeting regarding the issue," Bukhari said.

He appealed to the students to call off their protests and return to their homes peacefully.

Earlier, the students of B.Com and BBA streams from various colleges had staged their protest in Kashmir University against the flawed marking system of colleges.

Later the students held demonstrations at MA road in Srinagar to press for their demands.

"Our exam was conducted last year and few days ago our results were declared wherein every student has been declared unsuccessful," said the agitated students.
