In a major fire incident, a hotel was completely gutted at tourist resort Gulmarg on Thursday afternoon.
Though no one was injured in the incident, however, thehotel was completely gutted.
Reports said, fire broke out from one of the room of HotelGreen Park Thursday afternoon and within no time engulfed the entire building,which was made of wood.
The incident occured at a time when a film crew was stayingat the hotel and had left early morning for the film shoot.
According to police, some tourist had inadvertently kept electric blanket on whichcaused fire in the hotel.
“The fire emanated from one of the rooms on secondstory. There was a film crew and one of the crew members had forgotten toswitch off electric blanket which might have caused fire” said a police official at Gulmarg police station.
Meanwhile, soon after the incident a police party rushed tothe spot and evacuated tourists and staff members.
Several fire tenders from Gulmarg and nearest army unitrushed to the spot and after hectic efforts doused the fire.
