Hajin shuts on 3rd straight day against killings

Hajin town in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district remained shut for the third straight day on Saturday against the militant and civilian killings.

Witnesses told Greater Kashmir that all shops and otherbusiness establishments remained closed while traffic was off the roads in thetown.

   

Two militants and a minor boy were killed during a gunfighton Friday in Mir Mohalla locality of Hajin. The police have identified themilitants as Ali and Hubaib, both belonging to Lashkar-e-Toiba militant outfit.

The 12-year-old minor was identified as Atif Mir.

According to the police, Atif was held hostage by the slain militants.
