Chairman of Peoples Democratic Front Hakeem Yaseen has expressed sorrow over the massive damage caused to horticulture industry in the state due to hailstorm on Friday.
In a statement here he enjoined upon the Governor’sadministration to provide ex gratia relief to affected farmers whose crop hasgot severely damaged. “Hailstorm has wrecked havoc to standing crops andhorticulture produce causing colossal losses to the farming community inPulwama, Shopian, Baramulla and Budgam districts,” he said. Hakeem Yaseen askedthe Governor’s administration to provide adequate ex gratia relief to theaffected farmers and fruit traders after assessing quantum of damage caused dueto the unprecedented hailstorm and windstorm.
