In a statement, Yaseen said result oriented measures for restoration of political and election process was imperatives to end socio-political uncertainty and bring peace and normalcy in troubled J&K.

He said till effective measures were worked out in this regard, the idea of appointing political advisors for the Lt Governor of J&K, with an aim to make a connect with the people at the grassroots level would be in the larger interests of people.

Yaseen said restoration of a meaningful political process to pave way for a civilian government in the J&K was need of the hour. He said the Governor’s rule was no substitute to a civilian government as in Central rule people do not have easy access to the administration so they remain almost unattended and neglected.

He said in the Governor’s rule, administration runs on the whims of bureaucrats, without any political directive and surveillance, adding that connection between people and government becomes effective only with the active participation of public representatives.

He urged the Center to fulfill its commitment made to people of J&K to satiate their socio -political aspirations.
