The residents of Ashpora and adjacent villages of Handwara area of north Kashmir Sunday protested over non-availability of passenger transport in their area.
The locals blocked the road at Qaziabad area and raised slogans against the concerned authorities for playing down the issue of passenger transport in the area stating that it was giving a tough time to the commuters.
They said that the concerned department had failed to allocate a stand for the local cab service and demanded establishment of a cab stand at Ashpora.
