As the rains continue in Udhampur-Banihal road stretch, authorities have advised Srinagar-bound commuters stuck at Udhampur not to proceed ahead.

“Srinagar bound commuters at Jakheni, Udhampur are advised not to proceed ahead,” Pathak said.

A landslide blocked road at Kheri Udhampur and restoration work is under process.

He said the road blocked at Kheri, Udhampur will be cleared shortly for Doda-Kishtwar and Ramban bound light-motor vehicles.

The 300 km highway, however, is still open for traffic despite shooting stones in Ramsoo and Battery Cheshma areas of Ramban district.
