Heritage sites facing extinction: Renzushah

Chairman, Kashmir Society and Kashmir Development (KS&KD), Farooq Renzushah, Friday said that world heritage sites in Kashmir are facing “extinction and need urgent attention”.

The Chairman KS&KD issued the statement while speakingto media persons, here in the summer capital.

   

He said, “World heritage sites like Zabarwan,Takht-e-Sulaiman, Koh-e-Marran range, water bodies and Shahar-e-Khas needimmediate attention to be saved from extinction. For the past 70 years, theimportance of these sites has been ignored or neglected.”

He urged the Governor’s administration to intervene andinitiate steps to protect the “ethos” of the Valley.
