Police on Sunday said that hideout of militants was busted in Zainapora area of Shopian district.
SSP Shopian Amrit Paul Singh said based on a specific information about the presence of militants in orchards of Dachoo village of Zainapora, police with teams of 44 RR and 178 BN CRPF launched a search operation and busted hideout of militants.
“The hideout was destroyed after recovery of 2 UBGL grenades, 3 Chinese grenades, one AK 47 magazine along with 20 AK 47 rounds, one radio set, eatables and incriminating material,” he said.
A case FIR Number 99 /2020 has been registered at Police station Zainpora.
