Srinagar: Hizbul Mujahideen has condemned the arrest of girl from Tral area.
“It has become routine now for the armed forces to conduct raids on the residences of militants and arrest their relatives including sisters and mothers. In Doda district at Siwal Bahota, the police arrested a close relative of Hizb militant, Yasmeena Banoo, from her in-laws house. She was married just 15 day’s before her arrest,” said Hizb-ul-Mujahideen spokesman Ahsan Illahi in a statement today.
“The outfit could not tolerate the arrest and harassment of its mothers, sisters and daughters,” he added.
Democratic Freedom Party president Shabir Ahmad Shah has condemned the arrest girl terming it most ‘undemocratic and inhuman act by the forces”.
“The protests in the aftermath of girl’s arrest at Tral are genuine as state police is overbearingly showing its high handedness, throwing to winds all the dictates and principles of ethical and democratic norms,” said Shah, according to DFP statement.
Chairman of Peoples’ Freedom League Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has also condemned the arrest of girl at Tral, terming it ‘most intolerable act’.
