Hold referendum in JK: JKLF to PC

Greater Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 9: Reacting to the Finance Minister P Chidambaram’s statement that only a small section of people were talking about freedom in Kashmir, the acting chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front advocate Bashir Ahmad Bhat termed it denial of a vivid truth.
In a statement today, Bhat said, “If New Delhi feels that the people of Jammu Kashmir do not want freedom, it should have not hesitation in holding a referendum which the people of Kashmir are demanding for the last 65 years to decide their future,” he said. “Nearly 90% people are demanding complete freedom and independence.”
Meanwhile, Front has condoled the demise of mother of Dr Khursheed Iqbal, mother of Mubashir Rufai and mother of Muhammad Maqbool Negroo. It has prayed for the deceased and sympathized with the bereaved families.
