President J&K Peoples Movement Shah Faesal has expressed joy over the congratulatory telephone call made to Prime Minister Narendra Modi by Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
In his tweet Shah Faesal prayed that the conversation between India and Pakistan would continue so that South Asia region can usher in an era of peace.
Shah Faesal said that the smallest gestures of friendship between these two nuclear neighbours can make a huge difference to lives of the people of J&K.
He said that a time has come when these two strong leaders can create history by going for a peaceful negotiated settlement of all issues so that development and poverty alleviation can become national priorities for India and Pakistan instead of confrontation and war. “People of J&K are looking forward to an era of change and it is hoped that new government in Delhi will create conducive environment for dialogue and development in the State”, he added.
Meanwhile, the JKPM leader from Sopore, Feroze Peerzada, has expressed gratitude to the Jammu and Kashmir Bank for opening its Business Unit in Rajpora Rampora village near apple town Sopore. He said that it was a long pending demand of the people to have a J&K Bank branch in the village. He reiterated that JKPM was committed to serve people of the state and to solve their problems.
