Huge cache of ammunition recovered in Pulwama village: Police

Police on Tuesday claimed that it has recovered huge quantity of explosive materials from a house at Dangerpora Arihal village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. 

A police spokesperson said police recovered arms and ammunition included a detonator, detonating material, connecting wires, electric chargers, batteries, mobile phones and remote control activating devices.

   

He said the house belong to Bilal Ahmad Ganai.

 “Some of the seized items are marked with symbols of Pakistan,” he claimed.

He said searches were also carried at village Naina Batapora and a Chinese pistol, 7 live rounds 9 mm, 1 magazine and 1 7.62 mm round was recovered from the possession of one Sabzar Ahmad Mir resident of Khellan.

“Cases have been registered in both the seizures and the accused persons were taken in custody for further investigation,” he added.
