Hurriyat (M) concerned over rights violations in Kashmir

Hurriyat Conference (M) Thursday expressed serious concern over the “killings of Kashmiri people at the hands of forces” and what it called the “intense wave of unabated human rights violations.”

 Paying tributes to Rayees Ahmed Sofi and the two armed youth killed in Fateh Kadal gunfight—Mehrajudin Bangroo and Faid Ahmed Waza and also another youth Showkat Ahmed Killed in Pulwama, the Hurriyat (M) spokesman said the sacrifices of “our youth are our asset s and their priceless sacrifices,  will definitely bear fruit.”

   

The spokesman strongly condemned the continuous house arrest  of Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.

Meanwhile, the incarcerated Mirwaiz, spoke to the parents of all the three killed youth in Fateh Kadal encounter—Habibullah Sofi, father of Rayees, is an active member of Awami Action Committee and a staunch supporter of Kashmir struggle, Sonaullah Bangroo, father of Mehrajudin Bangroo and Mushtaq Ahmed Waza father of Faid Waza.

“Mirwaiz expressed solidarity and sympathy with the families of all three youth and stated that killing of  youth every day in Kashmir reflects the military mindset of New Delhi which instead of accepting the ground realities is selectively killing the youth,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, Hurriyat (M) spokesman strongly condemned the police assault on the media men belonging to print and electronic media at Fateh kadal that left many journalists injured and stated that the act was highly condemnable.
