Hurriyat M demands release of detainees

Hurriyat Conference (M) on Thursday demanded immediate and unconditional release of all those arrested and lodged in various jails in and outside J&K.

In a statement, the party said it expresses concern over the condition of Kashmiri prisoners including Hurriyat leaders and activists, youths and Kashmiri from all walks of life who were detained in Tihar Jail, KotB halwal Jail, Jodhpur Jail, Agra Jail, Amphala Jail, Haryana Jail and various other jails and those who have been put under house arrest, before and after August 5 last year. The party said its Chairman, Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, who is also leading religious leader of J&K, continues to be under house arrest since 5 August 2019.
