The District Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat Saturday chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review and finalise the arrangements for smooth celebration of Independence Day function here.
During the meeting, the venue for the main function was decided where the Chief Guest would hoist the tri-color.
Other necessary arrangements including security, medicare, drinking water facility, uninterrupted power supply, sanitation and seating arrangements with proper social distancing in view of COVID-19 pandemic were also finalized.
The DC asked the officer to put in place all the necessary arrangements well in advance and adopt a coordinated approach for the smooth celebration of the Independence Day function.
