A team of officials from Excise department Central Kashmir in coordination with Revenue and Police Departments conducted a drive against illicit cultivation of poppy in Qazipora village of Chadoora tehsil.
During the drive poppy cultivated on 105 Kanals of land wasdestroyed, an official statement said. The SDM Chadoora, Tehsildar, SDPO andSHO Chadoora provided support to the Excise department team and made efforts toensure complete destruction of illicit crop, the statement said.
The drive was carried out on the directions of ExciseCommissioner J&K under supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner(Executive) Kashmir.
